The index below lists all genera of agarics reported from Australia, including Excluded taxa. Commonly encountered generic synonyms are included, with a cross-reference to their current name.

Taxa keyed out in FunKey each have a fact sheet (which is linked from the entry below).

Where there is only one Australian species in a genus, the entry for that genus below includes the species name.

Some genera are split into two or more Identification units (which may be species, species groups or formal or informal subdivisions of genera). For example, in Amanita, species without a volva are keyed out as Amanita (no volva), while most species are included under Amanita (other). Where there are identification units within a genus, there is a concise index page for the genus as a whole (with a capitalised genus name, as for AMANITA: index), as well as detailed fact sheets for each identification unit.
